TrainProLive
Website Design
posted Monday March 24, 2008 by Dave
Being the super-fit guys we are, it makes sense that our latest project was for TrainProLive.com, an online fitness community... wait a second, I've got one more rep and then I can get back to you...
Whoo! I can feel the burn. You will too, if you sign up for TrainProLive's one-on-one online personal training package. Just click "sign up" and you'll be directed to a secure form. After receiving a confirmation email, you'll be directed to an online medical form that helps the trainers to not fatally hurt you. After that, take part in the online community features. Just log in, upload your "Before" picture (don't be shy, everyone's doing it), fill out your bio, and don't forget to check your message center. That's where your trainer will be sending your workout program for the next month.
So sign up, stick with it, and with any luck some day you'll look like the incredibly fit group over here at RED Creative. Seriously, we look like the cast of "300" over here.
Camp of the Tall Pines
Website Design, phase 2
posted Monday February 25, 2008 by Dave
Would you rather vacation in a sleeping bag than a bed? Would you rather sit around a campfire than in traffic? Do you prefer stars and a moon to smog and, well, more traffic?
Do you sometimes say "ya'll?"
If you've answered yes to any of these questions, you may have a secret desire to go camping. And if you're going to go camping, you may's well do it right. Camp of the Tall Pines is 220 acres of secluded camp grounds surrounded by even more seclusion in the Lincoln National Forest Park in New Mexico. It's big. It's private. And it's even got plumbing if you prefer.
We set the camp staff up with a Content Management System so they can keep interested campers up to date with news about line dances and ATV races, and edit any content on the site as they see fit. We put in a calendar so visitors to the site can specify their cabin and date preferences with the click of a button. We set up a newsletter sign-up form so camp staff can send out emails to anyone who has submitted their email address. We set up the home page with a slide show plugin so camp staff can easily upload new camp images as they become available. We did all this, and we did it from the comfort of our urban office in Washington. Hey, we're city slickers, that's our nature.
Laurel Group
Website Re-align
posted Wednesday January 30, 2008 by Dave
We just gush when we look at this site.
Maybe because Laurel Group came to us after two years of using our first redesign and challenged us to do even better, and we did.
Or maybe because the site runs efficiently on a content management system that makes keeping it up to date a snap.
Or maybe because the site runs across itself and 4 divisions seamlessly.
Or maybe because it speaks to us. It says "We're Laurel Group, and we're the fastest growing private company in Washington State. No really, just look through our windows, you'll see we're gettin' things done. We're using cell phones, and laptops, and we dress nice, and we keep our hair cut. We're building world-class management teams for leading edge companies here."
Take your pick, we think it's all pretty gush-worthy.
Grace's Kitchen
Website Design
posted Tuesday January 29, 2008 by Dave
We research >> develop >> design
Grace's Kitchen plans >> shops >> chops
You cook >> serve >> enjoy
Or something like that.
This was built with a content management system that included a blog, store locator map, full meal selections with cooking instructions, cooking tips, and nutritional information, big, beautiful, saliva inducing product shots, a seasonal section, and design shaped after the box designs.
And we did it all for the free food samples.
Ohana Fiduciary Corporation
Website Design
posted Friday January 18, 2008 by Dave
There's a time for joking, and there's a time to be serious. And since we're pretty much always joking in these posts, we value showing this project as a testament that we can tighten our lips and get down to business when it's time to. The website for Ohana Fiduciary Corporation needed to reflect the strict moral code that the Fiduciary industry demands, and that Ohana adheres to. Our client reports that the site does just that, and it has played a vital role in making the correct first impression to potential clients.
That's it! That's all you get! Now sit back, grab a drink, maybe something to munch on, and enjoy the rest of the site.
Interior Design Coalition of Washington
Website Design
posted Tuesday January 8, 2008 by Dave
Part of every project we undertake is learning about our Clients' industry, goals, markets and missions. IDCW's purpose as a coalition was first and foremost in our design choices. For example, they are a group of Interior Designers, who formed a coalition, and they are in Washington State.
Just kidding, we learned more than that. For example (for real this time), did you know that contrary to popular misconception, an Interior Designer is not a person who simply chooses curtains and paint swatches for an interior, they also make structural decisions that affect the safety of anyone in the building. If a structure catches on fire, the people inside better hope a certified Interior Designer was on from the start, as they operate within a set of guidelines that prevent loss of life in such emergencies.
And now you know. And knowing is half the battle. Geez, doesn't anyone edit this stuff?
Bubba's Lodge
Ning Skin Design
posted Thursday January 3, 2008 by Dave
Bubba's Lodge is an online community created through Ning.com for hunters and sportsmen alike. Our client created the community, and we skinned the sucker. No, we did not take out our Kershaw Roughneck hunting knife and actually remove the skin. We created graphics and a color scheme for it. Why does "skinning" actually mean "de-skinning" in some situations? We may never know.
May we also add that this was the first client to actually request "more beer cans in the design." Thank you for that.
Perfect Surface of Wa

Now that we've set up this new logo, we're not just gonna go and slap it into an old website. I mean, a logo is important, but what good does it do if the website reminds you of listening to Pearl Jam in your ugly but paid for 1989 Ford Tempo? (Insert your own personal memories of the 90's here.) No disrespect! We all gotta start somewhere! And we commend the folks at Perfect Surface for coming to us when they did.
Checks On Call
Website Design
posted Saturday December 8, 2007 by Dave
When a small business needs a professionally designed website built with a content management system that allows them to log-in anytime anywhere to make their own edits and updates, most design firms tell them it'll cost more than they can afford and they should go talk to their sister's kid who probably knows just enough about html to create a semi-functional site that's updatable only through a very clumsy method of scanning through code and fixing typo after typo only when the sister's kid feels up to it. But that's where we're different! We actually just design and build the darn thing for a price that's well within their budget. And if they don't have a budget, then let's just call it affordable.
Darwin's Natural Pet
Website Redesign
posted Saturday December 8, 2007 by Dave
We may be a country of overweight junk food addicts, but why let our dogs be? Excuse the soapbox, but we believe in this product, because we believe in loving and caring for man's best friend the best way possible. We also hope that love and care of this manner will lead to a more evolved species of dog, one that not only gets the paper in the morning, but also learns how to carry on a conversation. Talking dogs, man. Talking dogs. That's it, that's the stuff we want.
Blue Fire Bowenwork

The fragrance of flowers in the air, the sounds of seagulls barely audible over the crash of ocean waves, lively but soothing tropical colors, and a calm voice greeting you, inviting you to lie down.
A Corona commercial? No my little pleasure starved stress kittens, this is something much more real. Something you need. This is the Blue Fire Bowenwork Center, and it will heal things you didn't know could be healed.
