Interior Design Coalition of Washington
Website Design
posted Tuesday January 8, 2008 by Dave

Part of every project we undertake is learning about our Clients' industry, goals, markets and missions. IDCW's purpose as a coalition was first and foremost in our design choices. For example, they are a group of Interior Designers, who formed a coalition, and they are in Washington State.

Just kidding, we learned more than that. For example (for real this time), did you know that contrary to popular misconception, an Interior Designer is not a person who simply chooses curtains and paint swatches for an interior, they also make structural decisions that affect the safety of anyone in the building. If a structure catches on fire, the people inside better hope a certified Interior Designer was on from the start, as they operate within a set of guidelines that prevent loss of life in such emergencies.

And now you know. And knowing is half the battle. Geez, doesn't anyone edit this stuff?

I wish there was a Style Guide for my life. Then I could wake up in the morning and consult it for recommendations on what would be appropriate to wear that day. Then it would tell me what would be the best meal for optimum mood and energy. It'd tell me where to buy my groceries, where to park my car, what to say to people as I walked into the office. Life would be so organized, so easy by just following the recommendations. Of course I could always ignore them. Then things would be just as they were before. And I would learn that it's not so good to ignore them, and I would choose to use it. And things would be back to looking really great, and feeling great, and things would be simple again.

Perhaps that's all a little too utopian, but for logos, it really seems to work out well.
